Xeros Technology’s Denim Finishing System is a breakthrough in sustainable wet processing during manufacture. Its innovative technology eliminates pumice stone, significantly reduces water consumption and lowers energy use, time, and CO₂ emissions.
The patented XDrum system releases reusable XOrbs (engineered polymer spheres) within a closed-loop finishing cycle, providing a lifetime alternative to pumice stone. By enhancing mechanical action while minimising fibre damage, creasing, and dye lines, XOrbs ensure superior garment quality and consistency. XOrbs are introduced at the start of the wash and automatically removed before completion. The XDrum safely holds, releases, and recaptures them, returning each XOrb to storage for continuous reuse — powering an efficient, flexible, and more sustainable approach to denim finishing.
